Cummins fan clutch solenoid. Mine has a bank of 5 solenoids under the truck. It receives input from the coolant temp sensor and ac press sensor also the fan clutch solenoid is a device used by the ecm to control the engine fan by sending a signal to open or close the fan clutch solenoid via these sensors. Reman fan clutch for cummins. When air is taken away it closes the clutch and the fan turns with engine speed.
If you have power and ground at the fan solenoid the ecm is commanding the solenoid on to deactivate the fan clutch. That would be about a 100 fix. On mine the green air line runs the fan clutch. When you unplug the these sensors it will default the value and cause the fan to come on.
